*** Join us at 11am worship on May 12th as we honor graduates from high school, college, and other programs. If you know of a member who is graduating from college or finishing a time of schooling, please have them contact the office (337-2662) so we can plan on honoring them on May 12th.
*** Combined Newsletter- Please note that for the summer issues we will have a 2 month combined newsletter. Materials for the July-August edition are due June 15th. Please plan for this when submitting items for the newsletter.
*** Coffee Hour- After 11am worship on Sunday, May 19th , we will gather for coffee hour in the basement. May coffee hour will be hosted by Bethany Men with Brian Carlson (337-4288) as organizer.
On Sunday, June 16th, coffee fellowship will be hosted by the Youth Group with Cindy Twardzik (337-6609) as organizer.
*** Sunday School Singing- During 11am worship on Sunday, May 19th , Sunday school students will sing.
*** Guitar Worship- The guitar class will lead us in worship on Sunday, May 19th . Come and join us!
*** Special Red Can- Our red can, usually used to collect our world hunger offering, will be used to collect an offering for ELCA Malaria Campaign on Sunday, May 19th. During June the offering will be collected for Northern Great Lakes Synod “Answer the Call” Endowment Fund- a fund used to provide tuition support for seminary students from our synod, on Sunday, June 16, 2013.

- Receipts year to date: $26,701
- Disbursements year to date: $32,844
- Mission budget: Unlimited. When our receipts exceed our baseline budget, our mission has just begun! In striving to meet Jesus call to love God and our neighbor we plan to spend undesignated funds collected beyond our baseline budget in the following way: 25% to savings, 25% to Fortune Lake Bible Camp, 25% to World Hunger, 25% to local causes as designated by the council.

*** Electronic Giving- Do you forget your offering? or forget to write the check? Are you away for a Sunday? Sign up for electronic giving! It is a convenient, safe, and simply way to make regular offerings without the need to write checks, carry cash, or prepare envelopes. Interested? *** Bible Study will meet on May 6, 13, and 20 and then we will start up again in the fall.
*** Pastor Tim will be on Vacation from June 18-28. *** Camp Fund- Interested in helping youth attend Fortune Lake Bible Camp? Are you interested in attending camp? Then you should know about the camp fund! This fund will be used to help those who need help with camp fees. Please talk to Pastor Tim if you need assistance. If you are interested in donating to this fund, you can simply put your donation in the offering plate and label it “Camp Fund.”
*** Northern Great Lakes Synod Assembly- Please pray for Pastor Tim, Frank Carlton, and Cornelia Carlton as they represent our congregation at our synod assembly on the evening of Thursday May 16th- Saturday May 18th.
*** Renewal of Vows- On Sunday, June 9th we celebrate with Paul and Madeline Voelker as on the occasion of their being married for 20 years they renew their commitment to one another with a short rite during our worship service.

***Thanksgiving for Baptism: We give thanks for the May baptisms of TeriLynne Budreau, Jana Butala, Brandon Carlson, Alice Gustafson, Christine Heidtmon, Julie Heikkinen, Steven Heikkinen, Lyla Huuki, Anna Kingstrom, Delores Kinonen, Tate Lassila, Cheryl Patrick, Gerald Patrick, Ty Pelligrini, Steven Pintar, Janel Primeau, Brian Taivalkoski, Marcus Tanskanen, Wyatt Tuoriniemi, Amanda Utzman, and Aaron Waara. Join us for a short time of thanksgiving during worship on May 19th, during June we give thanks for the baptisms of June Erlandson, Greg Kingstrom, Jordan Laurie, Linda Lohela, and Ellie Luokkanen during worship on June 16th.
The Quilters group meet in the church basement on Tuesday's from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
